Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file placed on your browser when you visit a site. This page explains which cookies and storage technologies are used by Bag Of Holding Tools and its tools, including Dynasty Tree Builder (the "Site").

The Site uses no advertising, social-media or personalization cookies. Your activity is never sold or used for commercial purposes. Only audience measurement, described in section 4, may be switched on — and only if you explicitly accept it.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to function. Under the applicable rules, they do not require your consent.

• Supabase session cookie (e.g. sb-…-auth-token) — keeps you signed in to your account. Only set if you create an account and sign in. Duration: until you sign out or the session expires.

In guest mode (no account), the Site uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to save your work on your own device. This data is never sent to our servers and is deleted when you clear your browser storage. This mechanism is strictly necessary and does not require your consent.

Your answer to the consent request described in section 4 is kept there too (key boh-analytics-consent), so that you are not asked again on every visit. That record is strictly necessary as well: without it, a refusal could not be honoured.

With your prior agreement, the Site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic: number of visits, pages viewed, approximate origin and device type. We use it only to learn which tools are worth building on.

• _ga and _ga_<stream id> — distinguish visitors and sessions. Duration: 13 months at most.

Nothing is set until you accept. If you decline, or simply do not answer, no audience-measurement cookie is created and no data is sent to Google. The Site works exactly the same either way: no feature is conditional on your acceptance.

The content you create — characters, relationships, trees, notes — is never sent to Google. Google acts as a processor; data may be transferred to the United States under the conditions described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.

For transparency, the following categories are never used by the Site:

• Advertising cookies — none
• Social-media cookies — none
• Content personalization cookies — none
• Selling or sharing your data for commercial purposes — none
